‘Avengers: Infinity War’ left fans in shambles after they watched their favorite superheroes snapped to dust. The loss of these characters left an emotional impact on fans and a craving for a sequel. Endgame is the next chapter in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and shows the remaining superheroes assembling one last time to reverse the damage that Thanos had done in the previous movie.

The finale is led by Tony Stark, played by Robert Downey Jr and Steve Rogers, played by Chris Evans. Even though the two have had their differences they come together when half of the universe’s population is snapped to dust. Plenty of other characters are teaming up to change the fate of the universe. Some of the most prominent ones being Natasha Romanoff, Clint Barton, Nebula, Bruce Banner, Scott Lang, and Carol Danvers.

As a devoted Marvel fan, I think this movie is truly a masterpiece. I’m not someone who cries during movies, especially due to theaters being a public place, but I couldn’t help but shed more than a few tears when my favorite character, Tony Stark died in order to revive those they lost in the previous movie.

The movie has a lot of fanservice and Easter eggs as it mentions a lot of events from previous and future movies. I have watched all the twenty-two movies and I recommend you do too before you hit the theaters to watch the blockbuster. However, if you can’t fit that into your schedule I recommend watching ‘Iron Man’, ‘Captain America: Civil War’, ‘Doctor Strange’, ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ Vol. 1 and 2, each Avengers movie, ‘Ant-Man’, and ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp’.

You may think that  ‘Avengers: Endgame’ biggest flaw is how long it is. Sitting at three hours and two minutes, you’re going to have to set a good four hours of your life to watch this movie. Despite this, the movie didn’t drag on, it may even seem a bit short due to how well written it is.

The film has its issues, however, especially dealing with time paradoxes and how conveniently the snap whisked away all of Peter Parker’s classmates so he can enjoy graduating with them in ‘Spiderman Far From Home’ when he eventually comes back. This also occurs with the entirety of Clint Barton’s family as well as the Pym family at the end of ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp’. There is also the issue where Steve Rogers goes back in time to finally get his dance with the love of his life, Peggy Carter, which means there would be two Steves, the one who went back in time and the other who is still frozen in ice. Nevertheless, this doesn’t take away from how amazing the movie is. Even if you aren’t a Marvel or superhero fan this movie is definitely worth a watch.

The film is also holding many proud titles in just less than a week of its release. ‘Avengers: Endgame’ now proudly holds the honor of having the biggest box office records in cinema history. The film made 1.2 billion dollars at its opening, making it the first movie to pass the one billion dollar mark as well as surpassing the previous record of 640 million dollars held by ‘Avengers: Infinity War’.

‘Avengers: Endgame’ is a beautifully made film that I enjoyed thoroughly. Even if you’re not a diehard Marvel fan I recommend you at least give this movie one watch. The Marvel Cinematic Universe is a gem of our culture and a marvel of our time.
