Who doesn’t love a fun but scary slasher flick? A Nightmare on Elm Street delivers just that. This Disney Channel Original is one that many millennials remember and for good reason. This festive holiday movie gives insight to what it would be like if it was Halloween season all the time. What makes this movie so good isn’t the writing or acting, it’s the overall atmosphere and the feeling of Halloween it gives off and it thrives on it. 3. Coraline (2009)

The first animated film to make it on the list is certainly one to remember. With its very unique and dark plot, Coraline manages to do so much in a subtle and charming manner.
