Time of Our Lives
October 10, 2019
Hard work seems to finally be paying off for the student community and the Student Government Association (SGA). “A Midnight in Paris’” homecoming which was constructed using a large Eiffel Tower Replica and beautiful skyline décor, was held on October 5th, and proved to be the most successful school dance yet, with a large turnout and many memories created along the way.
This year the venue was switched to the lower campus, which helped create a more compact atmosphere for the night. This was a large success, with the dance floor constantly occupied, and no shortage of dancing and singing the night away.
It was at the dance itself that the prestigious homecoming court was announced, with Seniors Allie Stephens and Javier Martinez winning the title of Prince and Princess, along with Issac Mercado and Fabienne Marcelin winning the greatly sought-after King and Queen titles. Other members of the court include freshmen Amelia Vega and David Acosta, sophomores Nico Carrillo and Natalie Guevara, and juniors Dylan Alvarez and Paola De Jesus.
With the success of homecoming in the rear view, SGA will look to build off their success and shift their attention to planning prom, which will be centered around the theme of “Las Vegas”.
