Introducing the new iPhone

iPhone 12, 12 Mini, 12 Pro, and 12 Pro Max offer a wide array of features comparing to previous years of iPhone models. It appears Apple is returning to the thickness of iPhone 4 and 5 for comparison. Instead of the back of the iPhone 12 Pro Max being glass on the back, just like the 11 Pro Max, it has more of a matte textured glass back which gives it more of a premium look.

“All of the iPhone 12 models in this year’s lineup support 5G connectivity for faster downloads and uploads, better quality video streaming, improved gaming, and higher-definition 1080p FaceTime calls. 5G coverage is available worldwide, but only iPhone 12 devices sold in the United States support mmWave 5G, which is the fastest 5G technology available,” 2000-2020 MacRumors.com, LLC said.

iPhone 12 and 12 Mini

On October 13, 2020, Apple introduced the newest flagship iPhones, the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 mini. There is also the iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max, but those two phones are for anyone that needs or wants the pro-style camera features. The iPhone 12 and 12 Mini only have two cameras and have a glass back.

“The iPhone 12, iPhone 12 mini, includes: 5G speed, A14 Bionic, the fastest chip in a smartphone. The iPhone 12 features Super Retina XDR display with 6.1-inch and 5.4 edge-to-edge OLED display, MagSafe wireless charging, Ceramic Shield with four times better drop performance and Night mode on every camera as well as Ultra-Wide and Wide cameras,” 2000-2020 MacRumors, LLC said.

iPhone 12 Pro and 12 Pro Max

The iPhone 12 Pro, and iPhone 12 Pro Max, introduces a powerful 5G experience and advanced technologies. The iPhone 12 Pro model features a new design and edge-to-edge Super Retina XDR displays, the largest ever on iPhone. The iPhone 12 Pro and Pro Max have three cameras with the 12 Pro having the glass back, as the 12 Pro Max having the matte textured glass on the back of the phone.

“The Apple-designed A14 Vionic chip, the fastest chip in smartphone, powers impressive computational photography features including all-new Apple ProRAW for more creative control in photos, and enables the first end-to-end Dolby Vision video experience, up to 60 fps. The reimagined pro camera systems include an expansive Ultra-Wide camera, a Telephoto camera, with an even longer focal length on iPhone 12 Pro Max, and new Wide cameras to capture beautiful professional-quality images and video in bright and low-light environments. iPhone 12 Pro models also introduce a new LiDAR scanner for immersive augmented reality (AR) experiences and MagSafe, which offers high-powered wireless charging and an all-new ecosystem of accessories that easily attach to iPhone,” Apple wrote on their website.

What comes in the iPhone 12 model boxes?

When purchasing an iPhone 12 you will notice a few things missing out of the box. The box is much thinner than what we are used to. You will only have the cord, the phone, one Apple decal. And a pamphlet with the information for the phone. The cord has the C cord to go into the 20W USB-C or 61W USB-C power adapter, which is not included with the iPhone 12. The 20W USB-C power adapter is $19.00 whereas the 61W USB-C power adapter is $69.00 through Apple. The box for the new model does not include earphones with the lightning adapter either, so unless you want to use your old ones, you will need to purchase a set that costs roughly $19.00. If you want to use the MagSafe charger you can purchase that through Apple as well for an additional $39.00, or the duo MagSafe charger for $129.00.
