“When I was first born, my mom was really into drugs which kind of affected me a lot. My dad wasn’t there and I had no idea about anything until I was older. My grandma took care of me most of the time, so she was kind of my guardian. She took me in for a good 2 years. But after that my grandpa died so she couldn’t take care of me. That’s when she gave me to my aunt. After a year my aunt adopted me & I’ve lived with her my whole life. I’ve always felt left out because I wasn’t her biological daughter but over the years, it’s gotten manageable.”
