It has now come to the time of year when the senior graduate out of high school and start their new journeys in their life.
But every year seniors can take part in various activities that are only for seniors. To end off their last year with a bang.
“To me the most exciting events that took place this year were probably the senior events like senior picnic, grad bash, and prom to come,” senior Sacadi Powell said.
A grand senior event that many look forward to since middle school is Grad Bash. This is an event where seniors get to go to Universal Studios after park hours and hang out with their friends while enjoying incredible attractions.
“Grad Bash was my favorite senior experience. It was different since it wasn’t on school grounds we were more on our own terms and it was fun to hang out with everyone and go on the rides,” senior Nahomi Reyes said.
Another event that seniors look forward to is Senior Picnic. This is a free event where seniors can participate in various activities such as bounce houses, soccer, and many other activities for entertainment while enjoying the company of their fellow seniors.
“For me, the most exciting thing that has happened to me was Senior Picnic. Just being there with my friends and having the freedom to do pretty much whatever was pretty great,” senior Seth Alba said.
Prom is also an event that is for seniors along with their other fellow classmates. But seniors are allowed to run for prom king and queen. Which is an experience that many are looking forward to.
“This right now running for prom king is the most exciting thing that has happened to me this whole school year. I decided to run for prom king since I won homecoming king, and I was like might as well try out for prom king,” senior Bernhard Destine said.
This is also the last year many seniors’ athletes will be on the same team as their fellow classmates and many seniors this year have excelled in these extracurricular activities while creating history.
“I feel like playing on the soccer team was probably the highlight of my school year. I have been playing soccer since sixth grade and we were finally able to win something this year and that was really accomplishing to me this year,” senior Carlos Dejesus said.
Many seniors find that just getting to know and spend time in general with their fellow classmates was the best part of their senior year.
“I feel like just getting to meet new people. I feel like this year there was a lot of new people coming in to the school and just getting to spend time with them and my friend was just the best thing,” senior Karina Castill said.
To continue on, this school year was a success for most seniors. Many seniors would change a few details of their last school year to make it even more special.
“I feel like I could of taken more opportunities for example I didn’t go to Grad Bash. But I probably should have went to Grad Bash even though it wasn’t the cheapest I feel like I should have taken that opportunity,” senior Omar Grini said.
