While the weather takes its sweet time welcoming the fall air, Central Florida businesses bring in the cozy season with traditional fall attractions. If you do not know where to go to enjoy the best of the season, here is a guide to local hidden gems.
Southern Hills pumpkin patch
This Fall the Southern Hills Farm will be hosting their seasonal pumpkin patch until November 17th. The Farm welcomes guests Thursday through Sunday. Thursday and Sunday the farm opens its doors from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. The event is a great option for families as they offer a kid zone and all kids under 2 years old get free admission. Tickets must be purchased previously online. On the weekends, guests may select a reservation time. The farm has some restrictions on what visitors can and cannot bring, including: pets, outside food or beverages, and obtrusive photography equipment are not permitted in the event.

Jeff’s Bagel Run
For the pumpkin spice lovers, Jeff’s Bagel Run has got your back. On September 16, the shop released a fall menu including a Maple Caramel Latte, a Pumpkin Spice Latte, and a Pumpkin Chai Latte. These seasonal drinks pair with their limited Pumpkin bagel and the special cream cheese options: Pumpkin spice cream cheese and Maple Brown Sugar cream cheese. The “Pumpkin Season” limited menu is filled with fall traditional flavors and will be available for purchase until November 1st.

Mortem Manor Haunted House
When Autumn comes around, you know the spooky season is right around the corner. This attraction is the area’s only year-round haunted house. The house is a two-story, old Victorian haunted house that features live actors, animatronics, and state-of-the-art special effects. The Haunted House was created after the legend that, “Mortem Manor was once home to the late Mortison family. Rumor has it, the Mortisons were once great collectors of rare and ancient artifacts, and perhaps even hunters of evil. But the Mortisons are long gone, having disappeared under mysterious circumstances. In their place, a new series of residents have taken over the manor, unlocking the true potential within.” The attraction is open Tuesday-Sunday. The house if open from 6 p.m. –10 p.m. on weekdays, 6 p.m.-12 a.m. on Saturday, and 6 p.m. -11 p.m. on Sundays. Tickets can be bought either online or at the on-site ticket window and are valid any day of regular operation.

Harvest Holler Corn Maze
One of the best fall traditions is the corn mazes, so this fall, the Harvest Holler invites the people for an “a-MAZE-ing time” at their corn maze. The maze opens Fridays from 4 p.m.-8 p.m., Saturdays from 12 p.m. -8 p.m. , and Sunday from 12 p.m. – 5 p.m. The attraction started its season on September 20th and will be available until November 17th. The farm does not allow outside food or drinks, pets, or flying drones. Tickets allow access to all attractions for a whole day and kids under 2 years old get free admission.

Showcase of Citrus -Nightmare Hours
This year Showcase of Citrus is hosting their first ever haunting event; Nightmare Hours. The event first opened its doors on September 28th. The event takes place from 6 p.m. – 10 p.m. and continues every Friday and Saturday until October 26th .The Nightmare Hours feature sinister scare zones, an eerie haunted house, and a creepy trolley ride. The event also promises ghost stories, themed games, and prizes.
Guests attending the Nightmare hours get free parking.
