At Four Corners Upper School, the Sorority Girls have exciting events for this upcoming year! Twice per month activities will be held to encourage girls to foster friendships and have fun together.
For their second year as a club, Sorority Girls are excited to implement new programs and activities. Due to sorority girls being a new club, this year’s counsel members are thrilled to introduce different events and ideas for its members.
“We are excited to take the club in the direction of more social events and bonding and spending time together and doing our activities together… We also have a new council who really seems to be enthusiastic and on top of stuff,” Sorority Advisor, Murphy said.
A couple of their upcoming and continuous ideas include the free Cinderella clothing closet and starting a fundraiser for a pet shelter. They are working on their newest idea of a nature cleanup towards the end of the year, where they would choose to pick up litter at a local park or roadway.
Senior Olivia Porter is the current president of Sorority Girls and looks forward to some of the upcoming events planned.
“I am super excited for the pet shelter and the nature cleanup. It is a way for us and the girls to help out the community and do some good… That is why the sorority is about to help out others and do good for the community,”Porter said.
To advocate for their upcoming events. The council will publish announcements on platforms, such as Schoology and Instagram.
“Our social media manager has mentioned making a TikTok account… Other then that we will be posting on the Schoology group and maybe even some flyers around school if it’s like a school wide event, such as donations,” secretary, junior Zia Crane said.
Sorority Girls want to change, inspire, and create a sisterhood amongst its members. They want to be seen as an influential club for all girls to express themselves openly and feel comfortable within their own skin.
Jill Nichter who is an attending officer has vocalized how she believes their uprising events will have positive effects on all girls.
“We hope that the new activities and treats we are hosting for the Sorority Girls will inspire kindness and foster friendships that these girls will use even after they graduate from our club,” sophomore Nichter said.
