Spend your Saturday at the Four Corners Upper School (FCUS) Parent Teacher Cooperative (PTC) Fall Block Party.
This year FCUS annual Fall Block Party will be held on October 18th starting at 3 p.m. and ending at 7 p.m.
The event will include multiple food trucks including the Cultivated Pig, a truck that has been a big hit at most FCUS’ events including the Fall Block Party events.
There will also be 38+ vendors and live entertainment during the event.
“There will be a DJ, and we will have cheerleaders performing from the Davenport Broncos Pop Warner Cheer and Dance Team” FCUS PTC President Kristen Fendone said.
When it comes to activities, there will be raffles and a designated kid’s zone which is helped run by student volunteers.
“I love volunteering to help the kids; I love seeing the smiles on their faces and their laughs. It makes me feel great, when they’re happy, I’m happy,” junior Meghan Cole said.
There will also be a haunted house to help you get into the spooky season. The house is completely put together and run by students and faculty of the school.
“Last year, it was pretty cool, the actors were trying their hardest to scare us and they got us a couple times. I am just waiting for them to say the hallway is open and get scared again this year,” senior Jorge Sieria said.
The Big Red Bus will also be at the event, anyone over the age of 16 can donate blood. If you are not 18 or older, you would need to have consent.
“It is a way to support your community and help save lives. HOSA will also be selling popping boba so if you want to donate and then swing by that would be great,” Fendone stated.
There will also be a petting zoo where feed cups and photo ops for baby kangaroos will be available for sale.
All of the money raised during the event will be going straight towards other events thrown by the cooperative.
“All of the funds will go back towards Four Corners events and Students. It is one of the main fundraisers for Last Blast,” Fendone said.
Fendone finds this to be one of her favorite events that PTC hosts and hopes that the guest enjoys it as much as she does.
“I enjoy working with the students who come up to volunteer to make the event happen for the community. I enjoy seeing the community come together for the event, especially the children who come dressed up for the candy treat trail, they’re adorable,” Fendone said.
