On the evening of October 11th, students traded textbooks for tuxedos, and sneakers for shimmering heels as they stepped into a night of mystery and elegance at this year’s Masquerade themed homecoming.
As the night unfolded and the gym buzzed with laughter, chatter and the decorations glowing under the colorful lights, the music set the vibe, bringing students together on the dance floor. Classics and current hits both got the crowd singing and dancing along, with certain tracks sparking waves of excitement. For some, it was the music that transformed fun moments with friends into unforgettable memories.
“A few songs that got everyone hyped were the songs on Bad Bunny’s new album Debi Tirar Mas Fotos, Baby by Justin Bieber and another big one was Safaera by Bad Bunny, as well as Nengo Flow and Jowell & Randy,” senior Tatiana Almodovar listed.
The music didn’t just set a vibe; it created a sense of community. Laughter, singing, and dancing became a shared experience, turning individual excitement into a collective celebration.
“I think these songs got people pretty hype because they are what is currently trending and popular within our cultures. The vibe of the songs creates an atmosphere that’s meant to be shared and experienced by everyone. These songs are songs that everyone knows and can collectively come together to sing with one another,” Almodovar voiced.
With the hard work and creativity of the student council, every detail from the photo-booth, center pieces, and giant glittering masks tied the Masquerade theme together and made this year’s homecoming a success.

“When i got to homecoming and saw everything that student council had worked on all put together, I thought it looked really good. It really brought me into the vibe of a masquerade dance and I was happy to see how it turned out,” junior council member Nyla Smith voiced.
The decorations created an atmosphere that made homecoming a memorable experience.
“What made the experience for me was the good atmosphere because the people there were very uplifting, the music was very good, and they transformed the gym into something beautiful,” freshman Isabella Ledwezsaid.
