“My goals in life are to be successful in whatever I choose to do in the future, be surrounded by people who build me up, and to just live a lifestyle that’s raw and real. I want to be able to be happy with the next phase of my life and set myself up to be able to find happiness in the things I do and the people I’m surrounded by. At some point I would definitely love to travel since I’ve rarely ever been out of Florida. I want to work hard to ensure that I can live comfortably. I plan to achieve my goals by working hard, staying focused getting a college degree, find a good stable job, accepting that it is okay to not know all the answers right away, and still be able to find time for myself where I can relax and do things that make me happy with people who make me happy. I plan to go to either UF, FSU, or USF but right now I’m really leaning towards UF. I don’t quite know what it is that I want to study yet but I’m thinking either law or journalism. I actually went to a summer journalism program at UF after my sophomore year and I fell in love with the idea of potentially seeing myself in one of those classrooms every day and not just for a summer program. I honestly don’t have one particular biggest accomplishment because I feel like there are so many things that I’ve achieved that have hit different milestones for different reasons but I think that either being cast as the lead for the production of Bye Bye Birdie and winning an award from FSPA are two of my biggest accomplishments. Outside of school I think my biggest accomplishments were learning to shoot photos in manual or becoming a trainer at my job. It’s honestly so hard to choose one because those were all times of such a jump in terms of personal growth and all times where I felt like I was good enough. I think my parents and Mrs. Gardieff have definitely been the biggest influences in my life. My parents have always encouraged me to work hard for the things I truly wanted and have encouraged me to try my best and put myself out there by trying new things that might not necessarily be in my comfort zone. Mrs. Gardieff took a chance on me when she initially casted me as Kelsi in High School Musical Jr. and since then, I have become more confident in the choices I make and less caring of what other people think of me. She had shown me that it’s okay to let your guard down and be yourself. She has been super supportive of my journey through high school and has always been a person that I could talk to if nursing was wrong. The theater program that she has built up through the years has given me a place where I feel so genuinely happy. Honestly I don’t know what the future holds for me but in the next 10 years I’m really hoping that I have graduated from college and that I’m in a steady, successful job. I would also love to maybe see myself in a position where I’m in a good relationship and can one day start a family of my own. My hobbies include photography, theater, and hula hooping. Photography and theater are things that I am extremely passionate about and have caused me to feel a sense of confidence that makes me proud of the work I’m putting out and has taught me that there is always something new and always ways that I can make things even more unique. Hula hooping is something that a lot of people think is just a simple thing and don’t really get. I do a lot of different tricks with a hula hoop that take lots of time and effort to learn. I lose track of time when I’m learning a new trick or putting together different hooping combos. It helps me clear my mind from whatever things are going on.“
