“My favorite thing about myself is how I deeply care-not just about the people in my life, but about the little moments that make life meaningful. I feel things intensely, which allows me to appreciate the beauty in everyday interactions, whether it’s laughing with someone I love, enjoying a quiet moment or simply noticing the way people express themselves. I tend to romanticize life, and while that sometimes makes me overthink, it also helps me cherish what I have in the present.
At the same time, I’ve learned to recognize that everyone has their own life, their own struggles, and their own perspectives. Just because I see things a certain way doesn’t mean others do, and I’ve grown to understand that everyone is carrying something, even if they don’t show it. That awareness has made me more patient and understanding. I try to offer kindness without expecting anything in return and to be a safe space for the people I care about.
Even though feeling things so deeply can sometimes be overwhelming, I wouldn’t change that part of myself. It allows me to love fully, appreciate the small joys in life, and connect with others in a meaningful way. I like that I can be present in the moment while also respecting that everyone is on their own journey, facing their own challenges in their own way. I think mu purpose in life is to bring warmth to others- whether that’s through my career, my friendships, or the little ways I show love. I want to be someone who makes people feel safe and understood, someone who makes life a little easier for others just by being there. I know what it’s like to feel unheard, so I always try to be the person who listens,” senior Claraliz Made.
